How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior BMS Engineer
    Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Pension + 25 Days Annual Leave + Career Progression Opportunities
    Location: Northwest

    My client is seeking an experienced Senior BMS Engineer / Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team, based in the Northwest.

    Role Overview:
    This Senior BMS Engineer role is suited to someone with a strong track record in the design and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS), who is confident working independently. A solid understanding of BMS and associated equipment is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and collaborative professional looking to make a meaningful contribution within a well-established and reputable business.

    Company Overview:
    With over 30 years of experience in delivering building controls, energy management solutions, and natural ventilation systems, my client has built a strong reputation for innovation, integrity, and exceptional customer service. Their work is primarily focused across the Northwest.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Design, install, and commission HVAC control systems and BMS software, with a particular focus on platforms such as Tridium and Trend
    Develop and write software and graphics from mechanical designs
    Work across a range of communication protocols including BACnet, SIP, and Modbus
    Key Requirements:

    Proven experience commissioning Building Management Systems
    Strong expertise in Trend systems, with knowledge of Distech and Niagara (N4) highly desirable
    Experience with BACnet, SIP, and Modbus protocols advantageous
    Valid CSCS/ECS or JIB registration (ECS BMS Technician card preferred)
    Full UK driving licence
