How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Project Manager – New Build / Demolition / Steel Frame

Location: South Wales (major project near Swansea)
Salary: Up to £75,000 + car allowance + package
    Sector: Main Contractor
    Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

    Project Manager – The Company

A well-established and highly regarded main contractor is looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead delivery on a major construction project in South Wales.

The company delivers a broad range of large-scale construction projects across multiple sectors, with schemes typically exceeding £10m in value. With a strong reputation, secure pipeline of work, and long-term growth plans, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and progressive business.

    Project Manager – The Role

This role will involve managing the demolition of an existing building followed by the full new-build construction phase, including significant groundworks and steel frame elements.

You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion, managing site teams, subcontractors, programme, health & safety, and client relationships.

The role would suit an experienced Project Manager with a strong main contracting background and proven experience delivering complex new-build projects involving demolition, enabling works, groundworks, and steel frame construction. A strong understanding of projects “out of the ground” is essential, with solid civils and infrastructure knowledge required.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage the project from demolition through to final handover

    * Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers

    * Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget

    * Oversee programme management and short-term planning

    * Manage client communication and stakeholder relationships

    * Drive quality standards and ensure compliance across all phases

    * Monitor commercial performance alongside the commercial team

    * Chair site meetings and provide regular progress reporting

    * Ensure strong health & safety culture is maintained throughout delivery

    Requirements

    * Proven experience as a Project Manager within main contracting

    * Strong new-build construction background

    * Must be technically strong “out of the ground” with solid civils, groundworks, and infrastructure knowledge

    * Experience managing demolition, groundworks, and steel frame packages

    * Track record delivering projects in excess of £10m

    * Excellent organisational and leadership skills

    * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid

    * Strong communication and client-facing ability

    The Opportunity

    * Major long-term project with a respected contractor

    * Strong pipeline of future work across South Wales and the South West

    * Good level of autonomy and responsibility

    * Competitive salary, car allowance, and full benefits package

    * Immediate or ASAP start available
