Job Title – Project Estimator
Location – Dartford
Salary - £40k - £60k
We have a new opportunity for a Project Estimator to join a Leading Construction and Landscaping company who specialise in the creation of inspired play spaces.
My client is passionate about enhancing environments in which people live, work and play and create safe, inspiring, and high-quality play environments for communities, schools, and local authorities.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and play a vital role in ensuring success in delivering outstanding large-scale recreational projects.
Key Duties
* Estimating & Pricing: Accurately estimate costs for projects ranging from £50,000 to £500,000, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
* Bid Management: Develop and submit high-quality bids, with a focus on local authority tenders and recreational space projects.
* Client Interaction: Engage with stakeholders, including local authorities, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure projects are effectively scoped and delivered.
* Commercial Focus: Oversee the financial aspects of projects, ensuring budgets are met and profitability is maintained.
* Research & Strategy: Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to maintain a competitive edge in bids and project delivery.
* Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
This role is full time, Monday through to Friday and based at the office in Dartford. Some flexibility will be necessary as some occasional site visits may be required.
Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, landscaping, or recreational sectors is essential to this role, as is comprehensive knowledge of costing and financial management of projects up to £500,000. We are also looking for expertise in bid writing, particularly for local authorities and large tenders
