How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Lead technical strategy to improve indemnity outcomes across bodily injury, hire, fraud, litigation and recoveries.

    * Ensure robust controls, technical consistency and best practice claims handling standards.

    * Act as a senior escalation point for technical and operational decision making.

    * Monitor emerging market trends, legal developments and industry risks.

    Performance & Continuous Improvement

    * Use MI, analytics and insight to identify trends, leakage opportunities and performance improvements.

    * Design and implement action plans to improve indemnity spend, lifecycle times and customer outcomes.

    * Lead technical audits, assurance activity and governance reporting.

    * Identify training needs and support capability uplift across the wider claims function.

    Transformation, AI & Digital Delivery

    * Support the department’s AI, automation and digital roadmap.

    * Lead or sponsor projects that modernise claims handling processes and improve efficiency.

    * Work with internal stakeholders and external partners on initiatives such as workflow automation, digital claims journeys, fraud technology and operational tooling.

    * Help translate business opportunities into practical delivery plans with measurable outcomes.

    * Champion innovation whilst ensuring appropriate governance, controls and customer fairness.

    Leadership & Stakeholder Management

    * Deputise for the Head of Third Party Claims where required.

    * Coach and mentor managers and technical colleagues across the function.

    * Build strong relationships with suppliers, legal partners and key internal stakeholders.

    * Influence to deliver change and performance improvements.

    Knowledge Experience and Qualifications

    Essential

    * Significant experience within motor claims, including bodily injury, credit hire, fraud and recoveries.

    * Strong technical claims knowledge with experience handling complex / high-value matters.

    * Proven experience using MI and data insight to improve performance.

    * Demonstrable leadership experience within claims operations or technical / stakeholder management and influencing skills.

    * Experience leading projects, change initiatives or transformation activity.

    * Commercial mindset with focus on indemnity control and customer outcomes.

    Desirable
