How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About The Role
    Engineered to Protect, that’s our promise, we protect what matters - our nations, our waters, our land, our cities, our people, our environment, our world. As Production Engineering Manager, you'll be accountable for the leadership of SEA's production engineering team, ensuring that manufacturing processes and equipment are safe, efficient, controlled and capable of delivering on quality, time, and cost.
    Production Engineering Manager will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week.
    The salary for this role is up to £70k, depending on experience.

    What you’ll be doing 

    Leadership of Production Engineering -Responsible for ensuring people, processes and tools are appropriately aligned to our strategic objectives, supporting completion of SEA’s product development and project delivery activities championing Safety, Quality, Delivery and cost (SQDC
    Production Engineering Execution - Ownership of CAPEX budgets and project plans to enhance production layout, capacity and capability.
    Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement - champion improvements across all production areas and support root cause investigations.
    People Leadership - Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and guidance to members of the Production engineering teamAbout our company

    Previous Production engineering experience in a low volume / high variety manufacturing environment
    Proven experience as a line manager
    Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities as appropriate
    Experience with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001.AS9100 experience desirable
    Relevant professional qualifications desirable
    Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
