Teacher – SEN Unit | Stockton-on-Tees | Full Time | September 2026 Start 🍎
Smile Education is recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join a welcoming primary setting in Stockton-on-Tees from September 2026. This is a full-time, temporary one-year position working within a specialist SEN provision supporting primary-aged pupils with Communication & Interaction and Cognition & Learning needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners who are committed to inclusive education and making a positive difference in children’s lives.
Pay: £140 – £200 per day, depending on experience.
The role will involve:
Teaching a class of primary-aged pupils with complex SEND needs
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Working closely with experienced teaching assistants and specialist staff
Supporting pupils’ communication, confidence, independence, and academic progress
Creating a calm, safe, and positive learning environment where every child can thrive
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience working with children with SEND or a strong interest in inclusive practice
Demonstrates patience, resilience, empathy, and strong classroom management
Has high expectations and believes every child can achieve their potential
