How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    Elgin / Moray Area

    Dayshift - salary up to £55k

    Are you a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a dynamic engineering team in Moray? Nine Twenty Highland are recruiting an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support a busy process/distilling operation where reliability, safety, and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do.

    Why This Role?

    As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you’ll be part of a proactive team responsible for keeping essential electrical systems and equipment operating safely and efficiently. You’ll work across a range of machinery and process infrastructure, making this a varied and engaging role within a well known employer in the region.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Maintain and repair electrical systems, control panels, drives, motors, and associated equipment.

    *

    Ensure electrical SOPs, safety procedures, and QHSE standards are followed at all times.

    *

    Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to minimise downtime.

    *

    Support installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance activities.

    *

    Work with PLCs, instrumentation and control systems to maintain high process availability.

    *

    Participate in on-call rota and out-of-hours breakdown support.

    *

    Work collaboratively with production, engineering and technical teams to drive continuous improvement.

    What We’re Looking For

    *

    Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualification.

    *

    Strong track record in electrical maintenance within industrial or process environments.

    *

    Competence in 18th Edition wiring regulations.

    *

    PLC and instrumentation experience advantageous.

    *

    Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.

    *

    Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.
