How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Estimator (Commercial)

    Blackpool

    £35,000-£45,000 + Hybrid Working + Technical Training + Progression + Holiday + Life Cover

    Are you an Electrical Estimator looking to take then next step into your career with a well-established, nationwide electrical contractor with an established path of both progression and training giving you the opportunity to become the go to technical expert at the company?

    With over 20 years of success, this organisation has built a strong reputation as a leading electrical contractor in the region. Due to sustained growth and ambitious expansion plans, they are now looking to bring in an Electrical Estimator who can grow alongside the business within the estimating function.

    You will be responsible for preparing electrical estimates and cost breakdowns for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, liaising with supplier and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. Working closely with the project teams you will ensure the handover from estimating to delivery.

    The ideal candidate would be someone with electrical estimating experience in the commercial sector looking to take the next step in their career to become an expert in their field.

    The Role
