How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Assembly Operator
    Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight

    Salary: £13.45 per hour

    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

    About the Role 
    Pertemps Isle of Wight are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operator on behalf of our client based in Ryde. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, working as part of a busy production team.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling a range of products in line with technical documentation, ensuring all work meets the required quality standards and production targets.

    Key Responsibilities 

    Check kits against Bills of Materials and report any discrepancies
    Ensure all documentation is correct and up to date for each job
    Assemble components in accordance with drawings, work instructions and industry standards
    Complete work within agreed timeframes and raise any delays or issues promptly
    Work towards and maintain relevant inspection or quality standards
    Follow company procedures, including quality and health & safety requirements
    Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting process issues
    Carry out additional production duties as required and trainedSkills & Experience 
    Essential:

    Good manual dexterity
    Strong attention to detail
    Ability to follow instructions accuratelyDesirable:

    Experience in electronic or mechanical assembly
    Knowledge of PCB manufacturing or sub-assembly techniques
    Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
