About the Role We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join a supportive secondary school in the Barrow / Dalton-in-Furness area.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a focus on Biology at GCSE level.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons, specialising in Biology
Teach across KS3 and KS4 curriculum
Track, assess, and support pupil progress
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team
Contribute to the wider life of the schoolRequirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Biology and general Science
Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
Excellent classroom management skills
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeingWhat We Offer
