How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:
    We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 3/4 Teacher to join a well established school based in sheffield from September 2026 on a maternity cover basis. This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging and effective lessons across Lower Key Stage Two, supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development.

    The successful Year 3/4 Teacher will have a strong understanding of the Key Stage Two curriculum and will be confident in teaching across both Year 3 and Year 4. This teacher role requires someone who can create a positive and inclusive learning environment while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage Two curriculum

    * Teach a mixed Year 3/4 class, adapting learning to meet a range of abilities

    * Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress and attainment

    * Establish a well-managed and engaging classroom environment

    * Differentiate learning to support all pupils, including those with additional needs

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers

    * Uphold school policies, including behaviour and safeguarding procedures

    * Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate

    Requirements:

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    * Strong knowledge of the Key Stage Two curriculum

    * Previous experience teaching in a UK-based classroom setting

    * Effective classroom management skills

    * Excellent communication and organisational abilities

    * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

    * Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

    Desirable:

    * Experience teaching mixed-age classes (Year 3/4)

    * Familiarity with Lower Key Stage Two assessment frameworks

    * Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities
