How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Lead distribution, stock planning and logistics performance

Wolviston Management Services is delighted to be working in partnership with Tioxide to recruit a Distribution Lead to join the Operations team at Greatham.

This is a key supply chain and operations role where you will manage the relationship between customer services, S&OP, ore supply management, third-party warehousing, site operations and logistics partners.

Reporting to the Head of Operations – White End, you will drive distribution and production planning activity, helping deliver the revenue and stock plan safely, efficiently and in line with service, cost and performance expectations. You will also play an important role in ensuring finished packed product is available for dispatch and that customer requirements are met.

    What you’ll be doing
    You will:

Manage distribution resources in line with agreed S&OP plans, supply chain standards and risk assessments.
Ensure finished packed product is available for dispatch to meet customer requirements.
Build product replenishment schedules and drive adherence to agreed plans.
Work with operations managers and customer service leads to support delivery of the revenue and stock plan.
Identify and implement best practice across site supply chain operations.
Recommend improvements to the Order-to-Cash process.
Control intermediate product, finished product and raw material stock.
Monitor the performance of logistics providers, hauliers and other third-party partners.
Investigate designated complaints within the Quality Assurance system.
Attend quarterly quality reviews where required.
Complete intermediate and annual physical inventory activity.
Ensure finished product and packaging processes remain compliant.
Work in line with EHS, Product Stewardship, business conduct and site safety requirements.
    Candidate requirements
We welcome applications from people who have:

A degree, or equivalent knowledge, in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics or a related discipline.
Experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain, production planning or operations planning within a manufacturing environment.
Experience managing stock, replenishment schedules, warehousing, dispatch or third-party logistics providers.
Knowledge of S&OP, supply chain standards and customer service requirements.
Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
An understanding of continuous improvement methods and how to implement best practice.
Experience resolving issues with logistics service providers would be beneficial.
Strong communication, mediation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to work with operations, customer service, supply chain and external partners.
Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor experience in a high-hazard environment would be welcomed but is not essential.
The ability to travel to UK sites when required.
A commitment to safe working, inclusion, compliance, service delivery and values-led behaviours.
We know people gain skills in different ways. You do not need to meet every point above to apply. If this role interests you and you believe you could make a positive contribution, we would welcome your application.

    Why join Tioxide?
Join Tioxide in a visible distribution and supply chain role where your planning, logistics and stakeholder management skills will directly support customer service, stock control, revenue delivery and safe site operations.

You will work across operations, customer service, S&OP, logistics and third-party warehousing, giving you the opportunity to influence performance and improve how product moves through the business.

    Diversity and inclusion
Tioxide is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and able to contribute. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences, including people from groups currently under-represented in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing and operational leadership roles.

Tioxide and Wolviston Management Services are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process
