Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 pupil who displays extremely challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.
The Role
Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with significant behavioural needs
Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
Work closely with the class teacher and external professionals to deliver an individual support plan
Support the pupil with academic tasks to maintain engagement
Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Monitor, record, and report on progress, behaviour, and interventions
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working with SEND or pupils with challenging behaviour
Team-Teach trained (or willing to undertake training)
Calm, patient, and confident in behaviour management strategies
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Committed to supporting pupils' emotional and academic development
Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environment
