How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a Production Manager who has a strong furniture background with a six sigma belt? If so we are working with a well-established and growing furniture manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimise their production operations. This is a key leadership role suited to someone with a strong background in Lean manufacturing and a deep understanding of furniture production processes.
    As Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the production floor, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. You’ll play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and embedding Lean principles across the operation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead, manage, and develop production teams to achieve output, quality, and safety targets
    Implement and drive Lean manufacturing practices
    Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand and deadlines
    Monitor KPIs and production performance, identifying areas for improvement
    Work closely with design, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth end-to-end operations
    Maintain high standards of quality control in line with furniture manufacturing specifications
    Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and promote a safe working culture
    Manage budgets, resources, and operational costs effectively
    About You

    Proven experience as a Production Manager (or similar) within furniture manufacturing or a related sector
    Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing methodologies
    Solid understanding of woodworking, upholstery, or furniture assembly processes
    Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance improvements
    Data-driven mindset with experience tracking and improving KPIs
    Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
    Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
