How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business decision-making within a dynamic design, development, and manufacturing environment.  Working closely with Finance, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Production, and Procurement teams, you will provide financial insight, cost analysis, budgeting support, and performance monitoring to help drive profitability and operational efficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive analyst who enjoys working cross‑functionally and influencing decision-making across the business.

    Key Responsibilities include:

Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans
Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) and provide clear, actionable insights
Analyse production costs, material usage, labour efficiency, and overhead allocation
Monitor standard costs and investigate cost variances
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Prepare management reports and performance dashboards
Develop financial models for new projects, capital investments, and capacity or sourcing decisions
Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve cost efficiency
Support Procurement with supplier and cost analysis
Work closely with Programme teams on margin analysis and project bids
    Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years’ experience in a financial analysis role, ideally gained within a manufacturing or production-driven environment. They will bring a strong understanding of cost accounting and financial planning principles, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into meaningful insight. Advanced Excel capability is essential, including the use of pivot tables and financial modelling, while experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau would be a distinct advantage.

    Personal Attributes

This role requires a highly analytical and solution-focused individual with strong problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable communicating financial information clearly and confidently to non-finance stakeholders across the business. They will be well organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities to tight deadlines. A collaborative approach is essential, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams. A flexible mindset and willingness to adapt to changing business needs will be key to success in this role.

If you are a commercially focused Finance Business Analyst looking to make a real difference in a manufacturing-led organisation, we would love to hear from you
