Technical Assistant

I am recruiting for a fresh produce business supplying high-quality fresh produce to major retailers across the UK. Working closely with a network of UK and international growers, they are committed to delivering safe, compliant and consistently high-quality produce.

The Role
My client is looking for a Technical Assistant to support their technical team, with a strong focus on supplier management and compliance. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in fresh produce technical, with exposure to both UK and global supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a key point of contact for suppliers on technical and compliance matters
Maintain and review supplier documentation, including specifications, HACCP and audit reports
Ensure all supplier information meets customer and legal requirements
Support the approval and ongoing monitoring of suppliers
Assist with due diligence, traceability and product integrity processes
Work closely with growers and packhouses to resolve quality or compliance issues
Support customer technical queries and retailer requirements where needed
Maintain internal systems and databases with accurate, up-to-date informationAbout You

Experience in a technical or quality role within fresh produce
Understanding of food safety, fresh produce, quality systems and supplier assurance
Confident communicating with fresh produce suppliers and building strong working relationships
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing documentation and working with data
