How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    PRS are delighted to be working with a prestigious Hotel group who are looking for a Sous Chef for their fine dining restaurant in a stunning Scottish luxury estate in Perthshire. This is a full time, permanent role with a salary package of £44,000 per annum based on a 39-hour working week, plus extensive benefits. In addition to your basic salary, you will also receive annual service charge gratuities estimated to be around £5,000 per annum.

    Reporting to the Head chef and Executive chef, you will have the experience and leadership skills to assist in the management of a highly skilled fine dining brigade to achieve excellence in the standards of dishes presented in a 2 Rosette accredited restaurant.

    There is superb accommodation facilities provided for this role comprising of an en suite room, private gym and communal social room, with all bills paid including Wifi. This will be at a cost of £300 per month.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to further enhance your career within an iconic setting working with the very best ingredients to provide outstanding standards of food taste and presentation. This is a busy operation 7 days a week, but highly rewarding.

    To be considered for this role you will need:

    ·       Previous experience as a Sous or Junior Sous chef in a fine dining restaurant, ideally with Michelin accreditation.
    ·       You will need to be a strong team player but also posess outstanding leadership skills.
    ·       You need to have the confidence and experience to help and assist junior members of the team as they aspire to progress with their career.
    ·       To be motivated in delivering the highest standard with a pride and passion for quality and presentation with attention to detail.
    ·       A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
