How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Resolve complex care and support issues, using insight and data to drive effective, sustainable solutions

    * Monitor performance, staffing levels, and recruitment to ensure safe and sustainable services

    * Build trusted relationships with families, carers, partners, and external agencies

    * Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and quality across all services in your region

    Who You Are

You’re passionate about enabling learning disabled adults to live life their way. You bring:

    * Experience leading services for learning disabled adults, ideally across multiple locations.

    * A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or willingness to complete).

    * Strong leadership skills that empower teams, promote independence, and create positive outcomes

    * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

    * A proactive, warm, and inclusive approach that inspires confidence and collaboration.

    * A valid driving licence and access to your own transport.

    Life at Hft

Joining Hft means becoming part of a team that believes every learning disabled adult should have the opportunity to live life their way. We’re a social care provider with a clear focus on the people we support, and we’re committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable services.

You’ll be part of a supportive, inclusive organisation where your leadership makes a real and lasting difference. Our values guide everything we do: we’re diverse and inclusive, kind and compassionate, positive and solution-focused, and visionary about what the best life possible looks like.

    What We Offer

    * The chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of learning disabled adults and their families.

    * A warm, supportive, and inclusive team culture.

    * A role with real impact, where your work empowers others.

    * 33 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays)

    * Access to award-winning training and career development

    * Flexible pay options via Wagestream

    * Wellbeing support including Digital GP, counselling, and mental health services

    * Discounts on mobiles, life assurance, and referral rewards

    * Family-friendly policies and return-to-work bonuses
