How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Assistant Site Manager - 100 Unit Traditional Build

We're working with a 5-star PLC developer to find an Assistant Site Manager to join a brand-new 100-unit traditional build development set within the peaceful surroundings of the South Downs. This is an early-stage project, giving you the opportunity to be part of the journey from the ground up and really make your mark.

You'll be working alongside an experienced Senior Site Manager, with additional support from a visiting Contracts Manager, so you'll be in a strong environment to learn, develop and progress. For the right person, there's a clear pathway into a Site Manager position.

    The Role
This is a hands-on position where you'll be heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the site. You'll help drive the build programme forward, maintain quality standards, and ensure targets are consistently achieved.

    Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the delivery of a 100-unit traditional build development
Assisting in managing trades, subcontractors, and site operations
Driving performance against programme and key KPIs
Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site presentation
Supporting NHBC inspections and ensuring compliance with standards
Helping to deliver quality homes on time and to a high specification

    What We're Looking For

Must have experience in residential housebuilding (ideally with a medium to large developer or high-volume housebuilder)
Solid understanding of NHBC standards and inspection processes
Someone motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering results
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A team player who can also take ownership of their responsibilities

    What's on Offer

Salary up to £55,000 + competitive package
Opportunity to work on a well-structured, high-quality development
Clear progression route to Site Manager
Supportive leadership team and strong on-site structure
A genuinely great setting to work in day-to-day

If you're looking for a role where you can grow, be challenged, and step up in your career, this is one worth exploring.
