How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Electrical Installation Assessor (Full Training Provided)

Langley / Berkshire (Site-Based with Travel)

£37,000- £48,000 + Comprehensive Training + Career Progression + Excellent Benefits + Generous Holiday Package

Are you an experienced Electrician or Electrical Assessor?

Do you want to step off the tools and into a rewarding role where you can support and develop apprentices in the workplace, while enjoying excellent benefits, career progression, and job satisfaction?

Join a highly regarded College with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality Apprenticeships and supporting both staff and learners. With a focus on employer engagement and learner success, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping future electrical professionals.

As an Electrical Assessor, you'll manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them through their apprenticeship journey with regular site visits, coaching, and assessments. You'll work closely with both learners and employers to ensure progress, track development, and guide apprentices through to End Point Assessment.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and organised electrical professional who is passionate about developing others. You must hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition, and AM2. An assessor qualification (A1/CAVA) is highly desirable, though training can be provided. You'll be confident working independently, managing your own caseload, and building strong relationships with both apprentices and employers. Strong communication skills, organisation, and a supportive coaching approach are key.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician to move into a flexible, field-based training role, gain further qualifications, and make a lasting impact on apprentices entering the industry.

    The role:

*Manage a caseload of apprentices, carrying out workplace assessments and reviews.
*Support, coach, and mentor apprentices through to End Point Assessment.
*Conduct regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
*Track off-the-job training and ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards.
*Work flexibly across sites and remotely using e-portfolio systems and digital tools.
    *Excellent benefits package.
*Clear progression opportunities within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.

    The person:

    *Experience within the Electrical industry.
*NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent), 18th Edition, and AM2.
*Assessor award (A1/CAVA) desirable or willingness to work towards.
*Experience working with apprentices or in a training environment (desirable).
    *Strong organisational and communication skills.
