Ideally, the successful Construction Manager will have general contracting/main contracting experience with a proven track record in data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects from cradle to grave.
Construction Manager Responsibilities:
* Management of all day-to-day site operations
* Management of sub-contractor activities, including tracking progress against schedule and staffing levels. Ensure that there are weekly meetings with subcontractors.
* Ensure direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours are reported to the time administrator for tracking centrally.
* Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
* Ensure your team contributes to the internal weekly progress report rolled up from the project supervisors' report.
* Review the weekly progress report before it is issued to all stakeholders. Highlight areas not available, delays, design issues and third-party delays.
* Record weekly safety stats & project labour projections.
* Develop and implement company procedures with the package managers
Construction Manager Requirements:
* A trade background and 5 - 7 years of previous experience managing large projects and subcontractors.
* Experienced in design and build
* Excellent technical knowledge and ability to work well within strict deadlines
