How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Route Planner Transport Planner

    Chelmsford outskirts - Free Parking !! Driver required

    £33,000 per year plus quarterly bonus

    We are recruiting for our client who are looking for a confident, organised and proactive Route Planner to join a lovely team based near Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a successful company with an excellent reputation, where teamwork, positivity and customer service are at the heart of everything they do.

    You will be plannibg for a fleet of vehicles operating across multiple sites across the country . This will be a busy varied role

    If you love route planning, transport coordination and keeping operations running smoothly, this could be the perfect fit.

    The Role

    As part of the planning team, you will work closely with the Service Manager, Drivers, Sales Team, Customer Service Team and Depot Managers to ensure daily operations are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.

    Your day will include

    Planning and coordinating daily transport routes

    Allocating services, deliveries and collections effectively

    Supporting drivers with daily schedules and job allocations

    Managing daily transport activity to maintain exceptional customer service

    Resolving operational issues quickly and efficiently

    Working collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure smooth service delivery

    About You

    Experience in route planning, transport planning or a very similar logistics role

    Strong IT skills including Word and Excel

    Excellent administrative and organisational skills

    Customer focused with a positive, adaptable approach

    Own transport is essential due to office location

    What’s On Offer

    £33,000 per annum depending on experience

    Bonus scheme

    Full time permanent role

    Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:30
