Stephen James Consulting is partnering with a valued client to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a children’s residential home in Staffordshire supporting young people with learning disabilities, emotional & behavioural difficulties, and SEN needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, supportive home with a strong focus on safeguarding, quality care, and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing the day-to-day running of the children’s home
* Ensuring safeguarding and care standards remain fully compliant with Ofsted regulations
* Leading, mentoring, and developing the staff team
* Supporting young people within a structured and nurturing environment
* Managing audits, compliance, and regulatory requirements
* Building effective relationships with families and external professionals
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting
* At least 3 years’ combined experience across Deputy Manager and Registered Manager positions
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted standards
* Experience supporting young people with LD/EBD/SEN needs
* Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or working towards)
