How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Engineer – DAYS (4on4off)

    Stone, Staffordshire.

    Manufacturing Business

    £45,000 - £46,000 + Paid Overtime (1.5x) + 25 days holiday + 10% Pension.

    4on4off DAYS – 7:00am-7:00pm.

    This is a unique opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a successful, progressive manufacturing business who have a long-standing presence in Stone, Staffordshire.

    This role supports manufacturing through the provision of Maintenance Engineering activities across all automated production machinery on site. If you are adept at achieving optimisation of plant availability through skilled Maintenance Engineering practices, this could be for you!

    Role Description.

    * Provision of planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of high speed, industrial automated machinery.

    * Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and repair activities.

    * Stripping down, servicing, repairing and installing new machinery when required.

    * Identifying cost saving solutions to help streamline maintenance processes.

    * Conducting all work in a H&S conscious fashion.

    * Carrying out site electrical work, including installations.

    * Carrying out project work.

    * Reporting into the Engineering Supervisor.

    Skills and Qualifications.
    • Maintenance Engineering experience – Mech or Elec Biased.
    • NVQ Level 2+ in Engineering.
    • Strong fault-finding capability.
    • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment or other industrial context.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated maintenance engineering team.

    This role will suit an engineer who is looking for a great daily challenge and who enjoys finding solutions to engineering problems across manufacturing machinery.
