Winsearch UK is proud to partner with a leading aluminium specialist contractor based in Cardiff. This prestigious client deisgns, manufactures, and installs aluminium-based systems for the external envelope of commercial and industrial buildings.
This is a great opportunity to step into a key role within a well-established business that delivers high-quality façade and glazing projects for a strong base of main contractor clients. You’ll be working on a steady pipeline of work and play an important part in securing and shaping upcoming projects.
The role
You’ll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of construction packages, with a focus on aluminium systems, glazing, windows, and doors.
Day to day, you’ll be:
Reviewing architectural drawings and specifications
Carrying out detailed material take-offs
Preparing costings, quotations, and breakdowns
Liaising with main contractors and supply chain partners
Supporting the commercial team in winning and delivering projects
What my client is looking for
Experience in estimating within the construction industry
Ideally some exposure to aluminium curtain walling, glazing, windows, or doors
Knowledge of systems such as Kawneer, Metal Technology, AluProf, or Technal would be beneficial
Strong numerical and analytical ability
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience using estimating software such as Logikal or similar
