How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Resident Support Worker

    Job Responsibilities

    Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
    Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and well-being
    Implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences
    Monitor and record residents' progress, behaviours, and any changes in health status
    Promote a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
    Support residents in engaging with community activities and social events
    Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver holistic care
    Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to organisational policies and procedures

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    Previous experience in a support worker, care assistant, or similar role is desirable
    Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach
    Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
    Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
    Empathy, patience, and resilience to support individuals with diverse needs
    Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required
