How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Stairlift Engineer
    Platform Lift Engineer, Through-Floor Lift Engineer, Mobility Engineer,
    Epsom, Surrey

    Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic + benefits

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with a reputable independent mobility company, which is now looking to recruit a Skilled Stairlift Engineer to join its growing team.

    This role is ideal for a competent stairlift engineer who is confident in service and repair and looking to further develop their skill set. The successful candidate will receive full training on platform lifts and through-the-floor lifts, with the opportunity to become a multi-skilled mobility engineer.

    The position will initially focus on stairlifts, with ongoing development into other lift types, covering a localised patch across Southeast England.

    Applications are invited from candidates with strong stairlift engineering experience who are motivated to expand into wider mobility equipment.

    Commutable from: Epsom, Redhill, Mitcham, Weybridge, Croydon, Caterham, Woking, Guildford, Bromley, Kingston upon Thames.

    Stairlift Engineer Responsibilities:

    *

    Service and repair of straight and curved stairlifts from multiple manufacturers

    *

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown visits

    *

    Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely

    *

    Deliver high levels of customer service at all times

    *

    Complete accurate service records and adhere to safety standards

    *

    Attend occasional call-outs (approx. 1 every 3 weeks)

    *

    Undertake training and development on platform lifts and through-the-floor lifts

    The Ideal Stairlift Engineer:

    *

    Minimum 2 years’ experience working on stairlifts – ESSENTIAL

    *

    Strong mechanical and electrical skill set – ESSENTIAL

    *

    Electrical qualifications – ESSENTIAL

    *

    Willingness to train on platform lifts and through-the-floor lifts – ESSENTIAL

    *

    Experience with through-the-floor lifts, platform lifts, hoists or similar – DESIRABLE

    *

    NVQ Level 2 in Stairlift Engineering – DESIRABLE

    *

    CSCS and/or SSSTS – DESIRABLE

    *

    Full UK Driving Licence – ESSENTIAL
