How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant
    Location: Rugby, CV21
    Pay Rate: £(Apply online only) per week
    Start Date: ASAP
    Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm
    Contract: Monday - Friday, long-term temp to perm.
    Long Term Futures are recruiting for a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and nurturing school in Rugby, Coventry. This role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils across Key Stage 2 with complex Autism (ASD) and SEMH needs.
    This position will involve working mostly outside of the classroom, supporting pupils who require a more personalised and structured approach to learning and emotional regulation.

    About the Role:

    Provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex ASD and SEMH needs
    Work primarily outside the classroom in a tailored learning environment
    Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement
    Deliver structured activities and interventions suited to individual needs
    Help pupils access learning in a calm, safe and supportive setting
    Build strong, consistent relationships to promote trust and progress
    Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to adapt strategiesIdeal Candidate Profile:

    Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
    Strong experience supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH
    Confident working with challenging behaviour and complex needs
    Calm, patient and resilient approach
    Ability to work independently and use initiative
    Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
