How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Quality & Process Control Engineer

    Location: UK-based manufacturing site (with occasional travel as required)

    About the Role

    Chase Taylor are working in partnership with a leading international manufacturer within the building access and security solutions industry to recruit a Senior Quality & Process Control Engineer.

    This is a key position within the operational and engineering function, responsible for driving quality excellence, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and relevant industry regulations.

    You will act as a technical authority on quality systems and process control, working closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify inefficiencies, reduce variation, and implement robust continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead quality assurance and process control activities across manufacturing operations

    * Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in line with ISO and internal standards

    * Analyse production processes to identify root causes of defects, inefficiencies, and non-conformance

    * Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure sustainable resolution of quality issues

    * Support internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and customer requirements

    * Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise process capability and product consistency

    * Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies

    About You

    The successful candidate will be a hands-on quality professional with strong manufacturing experience and a proven ability to influence process improvement.

    You will have:

    * Experience in a Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, or Process Engineer role within manufacturing

    * Strong understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent)

    * Experience in process control, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools

    * Background in engineering or manufacturing environments (mechanical, electrical, or industrial preferred)

    * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles (desirable)

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    * Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

    * A proactive, structured approach to improving quality and operational performance
