How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The students you will work with may have identified SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and SCLN (Speech, Communication and Language Needs), and some may have an EHCP or require additional support to access the curriculum.

Your role will be to work alongside teaching staff to provide high-quality support, helping students engage in learning and make positive progress both academically and socially.

Providing academic and pastoral support to students to help them overcome barriers to learning

Supporting teachers in the classroom and helping to adapt resources so all students can access lessons

Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff to share effective strategies

Supporting the school’s behaviour policy and responding appropriately to challenging behaviour

Encouraging students to make positive choices around behaviour, attendance and social interaction

Supporting communication between school and families where appropriate to promote engagement

Adhering to safeguarding, confidentiality and school policies at all times

Assisting with monitoring and recording student progress, wellbeing and engagement

Promoting high expectations and contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture

Supporting whole-school systems such as rewards and behaviour management

Encouraging students to develop socially, emotionally and culturally within the wider school environment

Being aware of individual student needs, including health needs, and communicating these effectively to relevant staff
