This is a full-time position with an immediate start. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment where every child can thrive.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum
Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to support learning in literacy, numeracy, and social development
Observing and tracking student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team
Upholding professional standards and adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies
To be considered for this role, you should:

Have previous experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a similar role supporting young people
Show a genuine passion for helping children succeed academically and personally
Possess strong communication skills and a dependable, professional approach
Have the right to work in the UK
Meet GSL’s safer recruitment requirements
Hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
