How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Experienced CNC Miller Setter Programmer

    Location: Atherstone
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
    Working Hours: days, 4 on 4 off, 7.30–18.00
    Salary: £20p/h depending on experience

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join our precision engineering team in Atherstone. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with milling machines and a strong background in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.

    The role

    As a Miller Setter Programmer, you will be responsible for the entire machining process from start to finish. Your key responsibilities will include:

    * Programming, setting, and operating our milling machine to manufacture high-quality, precision components.

    * Reading and interpreting complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.

    * Selecting appropriate tooling, setting up fixtures, and verifying machine settings.

    * Carrying out your own quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

    * Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the production process.

    * Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality and safety standards.

    The successful candidate will have the following:

    * Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer.

    * The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometric tolerances.

    * Experience with programming CNC machines using relevant software (e.g., CAD/CAM software) and G-code.

    * Experience working on a variety of materials including Stainless Steel and Aluminium.

    * Strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
