How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

My Client are recruiting for an EICA Engineer in the Water Sector

Location: Bridgend or Remote with occasional Site and Office Visits

Overview We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled EICA Engineer to join our dynamic multidisciplinary water and wastewater design team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engineering services in an agile environment, working on a variety of projects across the UK and internationally.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative design solutions, collaborate with global teams, and develop expertise in electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation engineering for the water sector.
Working directly with many of the country's leading power, energy transition, water, telecoms and digital clients, we are looking for the very best talent to join our growing team.

    Duties & Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will be expected to:

Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team across global locations to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Lead small projects and contribute to the efficient delivery of larger projects, ensuring compliance with programme, budget, and business management governance.
Produce and review design deliverables including engineering calculations, drawings, and technical reports in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and design management systems.
Champion and contribute to safe and high-quality design solutions aligned with industry standards and regulations.
Communicate technical solutions to clients and colleagues, and actively participate in design discussions, technical workshops, and safety reviews (including HAZOPs and ALMs).
Engage with vendors, contractors, and construction teams (including Design & Build environments) to develop practical and efficient engineering solutions.
Assess and design EICA solutions for water and wastewater treatment processes and pumping systems, including evaluations of existing site infrastructure.
Support compliance with CDM Regulations, including the preparation of design risk assessments.
    Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / ICA Engineering, with Incorporated Engineer status or working towards Chartered status with the IET or an equivalent professional body.
Hands-on experience in design, design & build, project, or bid delivery within the UK water and/or wastewater engineering sector.
A strong technical background in the water sector, including knowledge of WIMES, UK codes, and asset standards for infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
Experience working with contractors to successfully implement engineering solutions in a Design & Build environment.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently across multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients.
Strong organisational skills, motivation, and a commitment to technical excellence within projects and the wider team.
Flexibility to travel for site visits or client meetings as required
