How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A well-established and forward-thinking consultancy is seeking a Senior Fire Risk Assessor to join their growing fire safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Fire Risk Assessor to take ownership of complex projects across a varied portfolio, including high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

    The Senior Fire Risk Assessor's Role
    The successful Senior Fire Risk Assessor will lead on delivering detailed fire risk assessments, including complex and high-risk buildings. The Senior Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for producing comprehensive reports, ensuring full compliance with current UK legislation, and offering clear, practical guidance to clients. This Senior Fire Risk Assessor will also play a key role in mentoring junior assessors and supporting the wider team's technical development.

    The Senior Fire Risk Assessor will manage client relationships, attend site visits nationwide, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and service delivery. This Senior Fire Risk Assessor will be instrumental in maintaining high standards across all projects.

    The Senior Fire Risk Assessor
    The ideal Senior Fire Risk Assessor will hold recognised qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire, Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment, or equivalent. Tier 3 IFSM registration or IFE membership is highly desirable. A strong track record of delivering complex fire risk assessments independently is essential, alongside excellent communication and leadership skills.
