The Assistant Quantity Surveyor's role
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support cost management across multiple schemes, assisting with procurement, tendering, and financial reporting. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be involved in preparing cost plans, analysing tenders, and supporting contract administration duties, primarily under JCT forms. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior team members, clients, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will also assist with valuations, variations, and final accounts, gaining full lifecycle project exposure.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor
The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have 1-3 years' UK experience within a consultancy or main contractor environment. An Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have a basic understanding of procurement processes and contract administration. Experience with JCT contracts is beneficial for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred, with a desire to work towards MRICS. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be proactive, organised, and eager to learn within a fast-paced consultancy setting.
