How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Title: Quality Manager

    Location: Chester

    Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE)

    Industry: FMCG

    Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

    Shift: Monday – Friday

    Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

    Key Quality Manager Responsibilities:

    * Lead Food Safety, Quality and GMP standards across site

    * Ensure compliance with BRC, customer and legal requirements

    * Act as key contact for audits, customer queries and escalations

    * Drive investigations into non-conformance (micro, analytical, complaints)

    * Own HACCP, validation and verification processes

    * Embed a strong Food Safety & Quality culture on site

    * Work closely with operations on hygiene, CIP and process controls

    * Support NPD and site change management

    * Drive root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions

    * Oversee product hold/release and traceability

    Quality Manager Requirements:

    Essential:

    * 3+ years’ experience in food manufacturing within a Quality/Technical role

    * Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety standards

    * Experience leading internal and external audits (BRC/customer)

    * Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills

    * Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or similar – microbiology (masters)

    * Experience in high-care or complex manufacturing environments

    * Coaching or mentoring experience
