How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Field Service Engineer – Production Print Equipment
    Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

    This is a great opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established, market-leading managed print provider that genuinely invests in its people and service function.

    You’ll be working with a Canon platinum partner, supported by a collaborative and experienced service team, with realistic workloads and a strong emphasis on quality, not volume.

    The Role

    You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and supporting Canon MFDs, ImagePRESS, and Pro-Print devices, including Fiery controllers and network integration. The role is field based, covering the East and South Midlands and surrounding areas, with a strong focus on first-time fix and customer satisfaction.

    What you’ll be doing

    * Servicing and maintaining Canon MFD and production print devices

    * Supporting and configuring Fiery controllers and workflows

    * Installing devices and integrating them into customer networks

    * Setting up scan-to-email and scan-to-folder solutions

    * Diagnosing faults and resolving issues efficiently

    * Building strong relationships with customers

    * Keeping service records accurate and up to date

    What we’re looking for

    * A skilled field service engineer, who has gained exposure to all/any of the following: Canon MFDs, ImagePRESS, and Pro-Print equipment (or a mixture of any of these)

    * Comfortable working with Fiery controllers

    * Good understanding of networked print environments

    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

    * Great customer service skills

    * Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

    What’s in it for you?

    * A salary which is open to discussinon based on knowledge and experience

    * Company car and fuel card

    * Pension scheme

    * Ongoing training and development with a Canon certified partner

    * Supportive, collaborative team environment

    * Long-term, stable role within a respected business

    If you're a skilled photocopier or print production engineer with exposure to Canon equipment, looking to work for a highly reputable business, please get in touch for further details
