A leading national law firm with a strong reputation in private client and Court of Protection work is seeking an ambitious Court of Protection Partner (Property & Affairs) to join its Manchester office. This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a highly regarded Private Client team, with significant scope to shape and grow a specialist practice area.
The firm is well known for its high-quality client base and strong internal referral networks, providing an excellent platform from which to build a market-leading Court of Protection offering. With ongoing investment in its private client division, this is a strategic hire designed to further strengthen its presence across the North West.
The Role:
- Leading and developing a specialist Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) practice, focusing on complex deputyships and high-value financial management matters
- Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth and vulnerable client cases involving long-term financial oversight and asset management
- Shaping the strategic direction and growth of the Court of Protection offering across the North West region
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, families, deputies and professional advisers
- Collaborating with senior partners and cross-disciplinary teams within the wider Private Client department
- Driving business development initiatives and enhancing the firm’s profile in the Court of Protection market
- Contributing to the leadership and mentoring of junior lawyers within the team
- Playing a key role in the continued evolution of a specialist, finance-focused practice area
About You:
- Established Court of Protection Partner or senior lawyer ready to step into a strategic leadership role
- Exceptional technical expertise in Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) matters, particularly financial deputyship work
- Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record in business development
- Confident client relationship manager with experience working with high-net-worth and vulnerable clients
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build and grow a specialist practice
- Collaborative leader with the ability to influence and develop teams
- Motivated by autonomy, profile and long-term strategic impact
