Based in the Fareham area and originally established over 30 years ago, the Group is about to begin the next stage in its evolution and requires a full time Management Accountant. .
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Management Accountant located in Whiteley. The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, managing accruals and prepayments, and monitoring financial performance against budgets. The role also involves performing detailed financial analyses, compiling reports, and assisting in the development of monthly accounts/budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and ensure sound financial management. Credit control will also be a part of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements and managing accruals
- Strong analytical skills for financial analysis and data-driven decision making
- Comprehensive knowledge of finance principles and accounting practices/Working knowledge of IFRS 16
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with Xero Accounting Software
- Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders
- Hands on style of working and experience in cashflow planning.
