Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Indicative range: $60,000 – $95,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Benefits Adviser to guide employees through their benefits choices and help administer the program. The role combines deep benefits expertise with empathetic communication — making complex options easy to understand and act on.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise employees on health, retirement, and voluntary benefits during open enrollment and life events
- Administer benefits programs in partnership with carriers and brokers
- Run education sessions and communications campaigns on benefits offerings
- Resolve employee escalations on claims, eligibility, and coverage
- Maintain compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and state requirements
- Support annual benefits renewal, design, and vendor selection
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years in benefits administration, brokerage, or HR generalist with benefits depth
- Strong working knowledge of US health, retirement, and leave benefits
- Familiarity with HRIS and benefits platforms (Workday, Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Discretion when handling confidential employee information
- Benefits certifications (CEBS, GBA, RPA) are a plus
