Driver Hire Southampton is on the lookout for experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support one of our top clients specialising in general haulage deliveries across the South Coast.
What You'll Be Doing:
Driving a Class 1 curtain sider delivering palletised goods
Covering local deliveries & collections across the South Coast
Working 10-12 hour days, with start times between 5:00am-7:00am
No manual handling - pallets are loaded/unloaded by forklift
Following planned routes, completing paperwork, and staying in touch with the Transport OfficeWhat We're Looking For:
Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
At least 1 year of recent Class 1 driving experience
Confident using curtain siders, strapping loads, and handling general haulage
Good communication and timekeeping are essential
Must have own transport to reach the site
Able to carry out daily vehicle checks and keep accurate Tacho records
