How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Global Category Lead – HR Transformation | Technology Firm | London (3 days per week) | Up to £90,000 + Package

The Global Category Lead will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing and supplier management across HR and HR-related subcategories, including Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and broader People Services on a global basis, with a strong focus on transformation.

Acting as a key partner to senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, Legal, and Operations, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering the global HR transformation agenda. This will include redefining sourcing strategies, evolving supplier models, and embedding new ways of working across multiple regions to support a more modern, efficient, and data-driven HR function.

Operating within a complex, fast-moving technology organisation, you will be expected to challenge the status quo, influence senior stakeholders, and drive meaningful change across the HR supplier landscape. You will apply best-practice strategic sourcing methodologies including demand management, total cost of ownership, supplier relationship management, competitive tendering, and contract optimisation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner closely with senior stakeholders to support and deliver global HR transformation initiatives
    • Design and implement global category strategies aligned to HR transformation priorities
    • Drive the transition to new sourcing models, supplier frameworks, and operating approaches across HR and People Services
    • Lead complex global sourcing events and negotiations that support transformation programmes and business change
    • Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership on category strategy, market trends, and supplier innovation
    • Manage strategic supplier relationships, governance, and performance frameworks to support long-term transformation outcomes
    • Aggregate and optimise global HR spend to improve consistency, compliance, and value delivery
    • Deliver cost efficiencies, service improvements, and supplier-led innovation aligned to transformation goals
    • Provide clear insight, reporting, and progress updates to global procurement and HR leadership

    Skills & Experience

    • Degree educated; CIPS qualification preferred
    • Proven experience in Procurement or Category Management across HR and/or HR subcategories (Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development)
    • Strong track record of delivering or supporting transformation within procurement, HR, or shared services environments
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior leaders in complex organisations
    • Experience operating within multinational or matrixed technology or fast-paced corporate environments
    • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and analytical capability

This is a high-impact global role at the heart of a major HR and procurement transformation agenda. You will have the opportunity to shape how HR services are sourced and delivered globally, embedding new operating models, driving change across complex stakeholder groups, and improving the effectiveness of a critical business function within a leading technology organisation.
