How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Whether you are looking for one day a week, regular part-time work or long-term we provide flexible shifts that fit around your lifestyle.

    About the Role
    As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will work across various mainstream settings, delivering high-quality lessons projects in EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that all pupils make progress in the absence of their regular teacher. This role is perfect for those who enjoy variety and want to focus on the joy of teaching.

    Key Responsibilities
    * Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
    * Adapt teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of pupils within mainstream classrooms.
    * Maintain effective classroom management and follow the school’s behaviour policies.
    * Provide feedback to the permanent class teacher regarding pupil progress and any issues encountered.
    * Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment for all children.

    Requirements
    * **Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)** is essential.
    * Proven experience teaching within a UK Primary School setting.
    * A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
    * Excellent communication skills and the ability to build quick rapport with staff and pupils.
    * Flexibility and the ability to travel to different schools across the Kirklees local authority.
    * An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
