How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher looking to inspire students in a supportive, Catholic environment? We are seeking a committed Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and nurturing school community in Hemel Hempstead from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a school where both academic excellence and spiritual growth are prioritised.

In this role, you’ll be part of a team that is dedicated to fostering both the intellectual and moral development of students, supporting them as they grow in their faith while achieving their full academic potential.

    Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable).
Develop engaging teaching plans that align with the national curriculum, integrating Catholic values where appropriate.
Encourage students to see the relevance of Maths in their everyday lives, while fostering their spiritual growth and moral development.
Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse needs of all students, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support their academic and personal development.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
Collaborate with colleagues and the wider school community to create a supportive environment that nurtures the well-being and success of each student.
Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in school events, Masses, prayers, and other Catholic traditions.
    Who We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A strong background in Mathematics, with the ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 is desirable).
A passion for teaching and a commitment to delivering high-quality education with a focus on both academic and spiritual growth.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
An understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos, and the ability to work within a faith-based environment.
An adaptable and innovative approach to teaching, with a commitment to making Maths engaging and accessible.
Experience in a Catholic school setting is desirable, but we welcome applications from all qualified teachers.
    Why Join Us?

A supportive and inclusive Catholic school community that values both academic excellence and spiritual development.
Opportunities for career progression and professional development within a nurturing environment.
Access to excellent teaching resources and modern facilities.
A strong emphasis on work-life balance and the well-being of staff.
The opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives, supporting their growth academically, morally, and spiritually.
If you are a dedicated and passionate Maths teacher with a desire to contribute to a Catholic school community, we would love to hear from you!
