How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Garment Technologist | Kaiia The Label

    📍 Manchester | 🕒 Full-time

    About Kaiia The Label

Kaiia The Label is a fast-growing, trend-led fashion brand known for bold, feminine styles and a strong digital presence. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a detail-driven Garment Technologist to ensure our product meets the highest standards of fit, quality, and consistency.

    The Role

As a Garment Technologist, you’ll play a key role in bringing our designs to life — ensuring every product is production-ready, fits perfectly, and aligns with Kaiia’s quality standards. You’ll work closely with design, buying, and suppliers to manage the full fit and approval process.

    What You’ll Be Doing
    • Collaborate with designers to ensure designs are suitable for production
    • Manage fit sessions, including organising fit models and taking accurate measurements
    • Fit and approve samples, identifying issues and implementing necessary corrections
    • Work closely with pattern graders to ensure accurate sizing across all products
    • Approve graded specifications and ensure consistency across size ranges
    • Liaise with buying teams on style and size ratios
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
    • Send clear and timely fit comments in line with critical path deadlines
    • Respond to supplier queries to ensure all styles are approved efficiently
    • Track product progress by updating the range plan with fit dates, seal status, and comments
    • Monitor and chase outstanding resubmitted samples
    • Investigate high return rates by reviewing stock against sealed specifications and reporting findings
    What We’re Looking For
    • Strong experience in a Garment Technologist role within womenswear (multi-product essential)
    • Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes
    • Confident leading fit sessions and making technical decisions
    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication skills when working cross-functionally and with suppliers
    Why Join Kaiia?

✨ Be part of a brand in major growth mode

✨ Work closely with product, design, and buying teams

✨ Fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment

✨ Opportunity to make real impact on product quality and customer experience
