How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Gillingham

    Full-time - £90-£100 per day - Immediate start - Temp-to-perm

    Tradewind are working with Primary Schools across the Gillingham area and are recruiting for passionate and dedicated a SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with children with Special Educational Needs.

    We work with a range of schools, from large multi-form entry Primary schools with specialist provisions dedicated to supporting children with specific SEN needs, to smaller schools where the support is more targeted to an individual pupil, helping them in their school journey.

    The Role

    Working primarily with children as an SEN Teaching Assistant, both on a 1:1 basis and with smaller groups.
    SEN needs themselves range from SEMH, ASD, ADHD and Behavioural Needs.
    Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
    Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

    Requirements

    Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant would be highly desirable.
    Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
    Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
    Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
    Must have right to work in the UK
