How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £25,131
    Location:  North Wales (Remote)
    Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (12 Months)
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 16:30

    About the Opportunity

    We are working in partnership with a respected training provider to recruit a Trainee Assessor in Health & Social Care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience looking to transition into a training and assessing role.

    The Role

    As a Trainee Assessor, you will support apprenticeship learners throughout their programme, helping them develop the knowledge and competencies required to achieve their Health & Social Care qualifications.

    You will receive support and guidance as you develop your assessing skills, while working closely with learners and employers to ensure successful outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver high-quality, knowledge and competency-based assessment support
    Manage a caseload of learners, including workplace visits across a regional area
    Support learners through regular interaction, planning, and feedback
    Conduct learner progress reviews and set clear, measurable targets
    Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
    Ensure learner progress is accurately recorded and tracked
    Support timely achievement of learner outcomes
    Maintain compliance with internal quality assurance processes
    Plan and manage learner journeys effectively from start to completion
    Requirements

    Essential:

    Occupational experience within Health & Social Care
    Level 2 and 3 NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (Adults)
    Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
    Willingness to complete a DBS check and relevant registration
    Desirable:

    Previous training or assessing experience
    Recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent)
    Welsh language skills
