How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Design Engineers - All Levels

    We are working with a specialist consultancy delivering electrical design solutions to a portfolio of long-standing, trusted clients. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are looking to appoint Electrical Design Engineers at all levels, from junior through to senior and principal.

    The Role
    You will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects, typically up to 33kV, with exposure to higher voltage projects up to 132kV. The business also delivers major, large-scale projects, offering strong technical variety and progression opportunities.

    Depending on your level, you will take on increasing responsibility, from supporting design delivery through to leading projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior engineers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design and develop electrical systems up to 33kV (with exposure up to 132kV)
    Produce detailed drawings, calculations, and technical specifications
    Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
    Work collaboratively with internal teams and clients to deliver projects successfully
    Support or lead projects from concept through to completionAbout You

    Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
    Experience in electrical design within utilities, ICP, or consultancy environments
    Familiarity with HV/LV design, ideally up to 33kV or higher
    Proficiency with relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD)
    Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approachWorking Arrangements
