We are the embedded hiring partner to a growing specialist contractor, supporting them in hiring an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimating Assistant to strengthen their commercial and pre-construction team.

The Role
You will support both the estimating and commercial functions, working closely with sales, project management, and site teams across multiple live schemes.
From the outset, you will gain exposure to real project work, contributing to pricing, reporting, and commercial processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting tender submissions and operational pricing
- Preparing and maintaining estimating cost spreadsheets
- Reviewing scopes of work, drawings, and specifications
- Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Logging and tracking Compensation Events and Early Warning Notices
- Reviewing site diaries, timesheets, and project records
- Supporting applications for payment and variation pricing
- Assisting with subcontractor applications and payment processes
- Supporting monthly cost reporting and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
You will work directly with experienced commercial and project professionals, gaining practical insight into project delivery and cost management.

About You
