How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An elite US law firm is seeking an AI & Innovation Knowledge Counsel (Banking) to join its London team in a newly created role focused on AI, innovation and the future of transactional legal delivery. Sitting within a leading leveraged finance practice, this role offers the opportunity to help shape how technology, data and knowledge are used to improve efficiency, enhance deal execution and deliver exceptional client service.

    Why Apply?

    • A genuinely strategic role with the opportunity to influence how AI and legal technology are embedded into high-value leveraged finance work.
    • Close access to senior partners within a market-leading London finance practice.
    • A rare blend of legal expertise, innovation and knowledge leadership, moving beyond traditional PSL or knowledge lawyer responsibilities.

Working closely with partners, lawyers, knowledge colleagues, marketing and AI/technology teams, the successful candidate will help design and implement a more structured, efficient and forward-looking approach to knowledge management. The role will focus on improving how leveraged finance know-how is captured, organised, searched and applied, while supporting the responsible use of AI across deal work, training, business development and client service.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the development and management of leveraged finance knowledge resources, precedents and internal materials.
    • Help improve the way knowledge is captured, organised and accessed across the practice.
    • Work with lawyers and business services teams on the appropriate use of AI and legal technology.
    • Provide training and guidance on knowledge tools, market developments and best practice.
    • Assist with client-facing materials, thought leadership, pitches and internal updates.
    • Monitor relevant market trends and support the sharing of insight across the team.

This role would suit a qualified leveraged finance lawyer, experienced knowledge lawyer or senior legal knowledge professional with strong exposure to sophisticated finance transactions. The successful candidate is likely to have experience of sponsor-backed and/or direct lender work, strong technical understanding of leveraged finance documentation, and a genuine interest in AI, legal technology and innovation. Experience creating knowledge resources, developing best-practice materials, managing precedents, improving workflows or supporting technology adoption within a law firm or legal team would be highly advantageous.

For someone who enjoys the technical depth of leveraged finance but wants to apply that expertise in a broader, more strategic way, this role offers an exceptional platform. It combines high-quality transactional knowledge, AI innovation, training, market insight and client-facing work within an elite global law firm that is investing in the future of legal service delivery.
